Little monsters, an injury, and lost keys.

A while ago my mom had the idea to start putting a table out at my family's business to "sell" old books. We have had a lot of stuff hanging around since we moved that we never seemed to even see again until recently, and now we don't even want them anymore because we haven't seen them since I was about 11 years old. So we put them out on this table and people can "buy" them with whatever amount of money they feel like giving to charity. We then put that money into a cup and later my mom will write checks to local charities with the money we receive. Customers have begun to bring in their own books and they take up the majority of the table now.
The past few months my mom has begun sewing things to put on this table. The first things were reusable shopping bags. She loved to make them and they're so cute, but she doesn't need ALL OF THOSE BAGS. So she sells them for $10 a pop, alongside hot rice packs. Those microwavable kinds. She'll make both of these out of fabric scraps and "fabric" she finds at the Salvation Army (hello! CHEAP FABRIC- sheets, pillow cases, LARGE shirts. Its a treasure mine). Those she'll sell for $5. All of the proceeds go to local charities.
Well I know that we have loyal customers who come in all the time, and many of them bring children with them...and I thought "BINGO- I know kids!" and I started with a few ideas of my own...they have since flown off this table within the first day of putting them there.
Look how freaking cute they are. Little monster kids rice packs!

Except for that one- that's an owl, obv.

There was also an injury. Damn scissors...

Aaaand a hiccup story before I go.
On Friday, I was getting ready to leave for work, and I planned to leave about 15 minutes early so I could stop at the pharmacy and get to work in plenty of time. Sounds great, right? Except for the fact that as soon as I was about to walk out the door, I realized I did not have my keys. Weird, I thought, I usually just sling them into my bag. I figured they were just lost in there so after dumping out ALL ITS CONTENTS and DIGGING THROUGH EVERY COUCH IN THE LIVING ROOM, I had to conclude that they were officially LOST. Great. Now I'm late for work. And I still can't find them ANYWHERE. Scoured my room. Nothing. All downstairs? Still nothing. Screw it- took the spare.
I get home with dinner for Bear and myself, he helps me look. We still can't find them anywhere. Remembering that I was unusually exhausted Thursday night and went to bed wicked early, we both decided that the keys were going to turn up somewhere "wtf" worthy.
It wasn't until Saturday morning while I was getting ready to leave to go see Bear that I found them. IN MY FREAKING SHOE. I went to tip it to put it on and they popped out, just like this.

Wtf, right?!
MY SHOE? REALLY!?
HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN.
Anyway- Happy Humpday. I have a midterm this morning that I'm not prepared for aaaand SPRING BREAK AFTER THAT HAAAAAY.
